IEEE Public Lecture

Raffsoft Ltd, The IEEE Communications Society, IEEE Uganda Subsection, Uganda Institution of Professional Engineers (UIPE), and Resilient Africa Network (RAN) collaborated and organized  a one-day public lecture on “The Internet of Things (IoT)” on 25^th January 2017 at Resilient Africa Network (RAN) Lower Lab, Kololo School of Public Health, Makerere University .The lecture was facilitated by Dr. Fawzi Behmann one of the visionary, thought leaders, author, entrepreneur and contributor in advancing adoption of technology in serving humanity.

The Event featured the following topics:

• Understanding Pre-IoT, IoT and Collaborative IoT Model

• Developing IoT Solutions for Smart Homes/Buildings, Smart Car and Smart Energy

• Developing IoT Solutions for Health & Fitness and Public Infrastructure

• Virtualization – a key driver for IoT and 5G.
